I’m intellectually curious and desire to never stop learning. I consistently think of ways our world could be more inclusive and equitable, while my biggest passions in life are accessibility and research— and sharing that with everyone I know :)

Teaching is one of my favorite things to do! I've had the opportunity to teach children, undergraduate students, graduate students, nursing students, medical students, and medical residents.
I've always viewed education a fun tool, but I see education all around us—education doesn’t only happen in the walls of fancy and expensive institutions! Attending university is costly and I've never been fond of teaching-to-the-book or rote learning strategies.

Instead, my teaching style is a bit "untraditional”. I am always looking for innovative ways to include accessibility, ethics, and social justice in my teaching. I try to make my classes as accessible and fun as possible. My goal is to have my students start seeing the subject they're studying all around them. To do this, the class needs to be meaningful and engaging, which usually results in students who are active, accountable, and incredibly curious.
I try to incorporate creativity and technology into all aspects of my teaching. For example, in lieu of a final exam, my students have worked on semester-long projects involving DIY zines and social media influencing, primarily through Twitter and Instagram.
Aside from the teaching experience listed below, I've also:
Lead workshops and seminars on research design and methods to pediatric and OBGYN residents
Lead introductory HTML and CSS classes to children 13 years and younger
Taught an introductory HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap course to adults
